Profile Details

After completing my MBA in late 1999, I joined Global Capital Management (GCM) in February 2000, at its inception.

According to Forbes, the firm's principal, Yasumitsu Shigeta, had a net worth of approximately USD 25 billion at the time,

which subsequently reached a peak of around USD 42 billion.

Beginning as a trader and junior analyst, I progressed over fifteen years across the full investment spectrum — public equities, hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure, and cross-border transactions — engaging with opportunities sourced from both domestic and international markets, across developed and emerging economies.

My responsibilities encompassed deal origination, evaluation, and investment decision-making, as well as capital allocation across asset classes. This included the assessment of managers, operators, and portfolio companies, with consideration of risk, cash flow, return profiles, and execution.

For the final five years, I served as Managing Director and President, with responsibility for both the investment program and the overall management of the organization.
